To conclude our interviews, we sat down with two of Het Vluchtelingenkind’s core volunteers: Iara and Jasmine. Both women have been involved as volunteers at the foundation quickly after its start and have been dubbed by their colleagues as ‘the backbone’ of the daily activities. We inquired about their motives to volunteer, how they make an impact on the children and what being a volunteer at the foundation has teached them as a person.
