Alina Lupu works as a writer and post-conceptual artist in negative hermeneutics. Alina’s work operates at the intersection of activism and art, in which she delves into the role of image and performative actions when standing in solidarity protest. The project during the KABK graduation show involved an open call based fundraiser for three Palestinian organizations: The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and the European Legal Support Center. Alina collected all sorts of art pieces and clothing for the fundraiser and activated her environment to donate.
Together with the help of friends and peers she managed to raise significant funds for these organizations. Back in July we had a conversation with Alina about solidarity, the placement of art within resistance, her fascinating hobbies like going to court hearing, the fundraiser and her accompanying thesis called “Standing. Photographing. Sitting. Filming. Organizing. Screenshotting. Resharing in Solidarity”
