In the 7th episode of The Lockers, we invited young entrepeneurs from the creative sector who are actively working to make our world visually a more attractive place through design and/or sustainable usage of clothing.
We invited Roosmarijn van Soest from Naaierij, an amazing tailor shop where they will alter the fit of your clothing as well as sell them.
The goal of the Naaierij is to let people look at clothing with a creative and conscious eye and to teach them to repair or alter clothing themselves. You will learn this during their workshops & courses. In addition, you can use their help in the repair café without any knowledge of sewing or repairing for an amount per hour and breathe new life into (damaged) clothing.
The conversation with the inspiring Roosmarijn is about how she built and maintains her brand. Not only that, but she provides a clear perspective on how she started doing what she wanted to do and what her vision is. She's honest about the fact that she still hasn't figured everything out, but she’s well on her way! So don’t be afraid to stop by her store, see how far she has come, and maybe even sign up for a sewing course so you'll never need a tailor again.
