The Rotterdam-based creative Gerran, alias 2:29, is invested in different aspects of nightlife. As a DJ, producer, and co-founder of export, the night never leaves his mind. In music the Rotterdam artist is chasing moments without consciousness of time or thoughts, with only a sense for the bass, beats, and synths. It brings 2:29 to a mixture of electronic sounds and breakbeats followed-up with thriving kicks on different levels. His signature sound are found in the subgenres West coast sound of Holland, Detroit Electro, and Electronic Breakbeats, with a hint of EBM, new Beat and Acid. 2:29 released tracks over at the labels Dalmata Daniel, Machine Cult, and Hilltown Disco. With the monthly radioshow the Operator resident sets balance between raw and funky, with a mix of unreleased projects and finds played on in a head moving pitched down way.
