Abiba is a DJ and Performance Artist who challenges the lack of diversity in Western-dominated electronic music. Living in-between various cultural influences since early childhood, she is fascinated by sound and movement, drawing inspiration from across the Black music continuum and it’s abundant history of communal celebration, resistance and charity. Her musical selection relies heavy in syncopation, polyrhythm, intricate basslines and meaningful vocals, aiming to create a free space of expression and taking the audience on a sonical journey.
