Growing up in the Dutch west-coast countryside Cyberboy was bound to be influenced by the infamous West Coast sound of The Hague, pioneered by the likes of I-F, Rude 66 and DJ TLR. Whilst exploring nightlife in the dark caverns of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Leiden and securing his engineering degree he became somewhat obsessed with the digitalization of music, starting in the well known notorious 80’s. This is when sounds composed of heavy drum computers, romantic melodies and cyberkinetic vocals hacked into his yet to be full grown brain. An everlasting musical computer virus became to manifest itself and bit by bit ‘Cyberboy' was born. Fast forward a few orbital cycles around the sun and his persona made appearances in clubs and online radio stations like POING (Rotterdam), Reaktor (Amsterdam), Radio Tempo Nao Para (Amsterdam), Future Intel (The Hague), Operator Radio (Rotterdam) and Wibar (Leiden). Parallel to DJ’ing he runs online radio station Maxi Radio and is co-founder of the disco event series Discotuin.
