Emerging from the private settings of cold eastern european winters, laurel 2 has been a modest voice in contemporary music, visual art and Tallinn's underground scene. With a sound that borrows euphonies from 90s rave and trip hop, laurel 2 creates rather immersive experiences that blur the lines between genres, disciplines, and emotions.
His personal production work is characterized by rich sonic textures, vocals that create layers of fog without giving any explanation, and haunting melodies that reflect a deep introspection and a fearless approach to experimentation. As a selector in da club, laurel 2 pulls in a lot of inspiration from various UK bass music like dubstep, (+future) garage, jungle etc and usually blends it all into bass soaked, break-filled, melancholy summoning and simply danceable smoothies.
