Born and raised Dutch artist Tom Laan (tomlaan) studied interactive/media/design at the Royal Academy of Art and is known for his humane digital approach to music and interactive media. It resulted in a thesis on live-performing electronic music, but later on also the Bangers and Ash EP released on NY based Styles Upon Styles, and has exhibited interactive installations throughout Europe, South Africa and India.
Exploring and combining the fields of interaction design, graphic design, code based imagery, and of course music. Tom appreciates making music with analog synthesizers since to him it feels like dealing with a living organism.
