We’re happy to share the second mix of the series, recorded by Jesse Chen. Jesse Chen is a key figure in Taiwan’s electronic music scene, known for blending techno and deep house. In 2024, he co-founded 潮電 Bar & Record Store in Taipei, a vinyl-driven space on Chaozhou Street that has become a hub for contemporary electronic music. Through cross-genre DJ sets and carefully curated programming, Jesse continues to shape Taipei’s underground and connect it with global scenes.

Recorded in Taipei, where the city never really slows down and the future feels close yet slightly out of focus. Amid political unease and constant motion, this mix was made during a personal transition: packing, leaving, and sorting through a suitcase of old family photographs from his late grandfather. The music follows movement rather than destination, built on low frequencies, restrained rhythms, and echoes that linger like memory in transit. A soundtrack for staying in motion, when both the city and what comes next remain unresolved.
