Dieze is taking over Ep. 7 of Water Tower Ollie. Aiming to loosely emulate various states of (non-)dreaming with sleep cycle stages, Dieze tried to create a surreal “radio play” listening experience. Varied as sleep stages and especially dreams can come, this set attempts to weave the ethereal with the vague, often accompanied by disjointed mixes, liberally straying through a wide array of BPM territories to elevate the demented sound.
From the initial slowing heartbeat and a light ambient sleep, we dive into a deep dubby state of unrest. Via a floating REM-n-B fantasy we finally navigate to a stretch of slumber before waking. A soundtrack to a brief sleep full of vivid dreams, anxious, weird and pleasant, that slip away from memory as soon as you’ve swung your legs from the edge of your bed.
