The Darker Side of Disco - EP. 12
The Darker Side of Disco is a radioshow hosted by Reyk. In the monthly show he will showcase Disco influenced music with a darker twist. It will feature the latest releases and timeless classics from genres like Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Dark Disco, some trance vibes and everything in between.
During the Olympics, I somehow found myself playing Italo disco on a daily Dutch TV show called Studio Olimpico. So I decided to turn that adventure into a mixtape. This mix features the tracks I played during the first week of the show, but with one rule for myself: I only selected tracks that I have never used in my mixtapes before. Mainly to keep it fun and challenging on my end.
It is sometimes a little rough around the edges (thanks to the wonky originals and the fact that I record everything live), but the vibes are definitely there. I will record the second week next week, and after that we will return to the regular Darker Side of Disco episodes, enjoy!
