EP. 1 Mejmou3en - on being together with Dunya Zita

Under the Surface

What does home mean when it doesn't fit into a single place? In this episode, we speak with interdisciplinary artist Dunya Zita about Mejmou3en: her latest exhibition at Fotodok in Utrecht, currently on view. The project emerged from a two-month stay in Morocco, where Dunya reconnected with her family on her father's side while navigating the absence of a shared language. Working across photography, film, personal writing and found objects, she explores diaspora, memory, and what it means to belong; not to a geography, but to a set of relationships in constant movement. A conversation about the things connection leaves behind, and the new forms it creates.
